Why is ORCA joining forces with AFOC (Alaska Fracture and Orthopedic Clinic)?
Our two companies share the same values, such as personalized care and dedication to our patients, as well as staying on the leading edge of orthopedic medicine and minimally invasive procedures.
When will this change be effective?
ORCA providers will become AFOC providers and begin seeing patients at AFOC’s facilities on January 1st, 2025.
What is the new address where ORCA will begin seeing patients on January 1st, 2025?
AFOC’s main clinic, which is located at
4100 Lake Otis Parkway, Suite 220.
Does AFOC take the same insurances as ORCA?
Both AFOC and ORCA accept most insurances. For more information on accepted insurances, visit the ORCA webpage or call the ORCA office at (907) 644-6055.
As an ORCA patient, who should I call regarding appointments?
Simply call ORCA at (907) 644-6055 to make an appointment. ORCA staff will be available to schedule you at any time in the coming months. They can also provide additional information about our big plans and the process in general.
As an ORCA patient, how should I pay my bill?
To pay your bill for any appointments that took place BEFORE January 1st, 2025, log on to ORCA’s patient portal.

and press option 7 for the Billing department.
Appointments scheduled after the New Year will be billed through the AFOC office.
Will I have to use a new EMR (Electronic Medical Record) System?
Will there be a new Patient Portal?
Yes. AFOC uses an EMR named Athena which differs from the ORCA platform. At the time you schedule an appointment, you will be assisted in registering all your information in the new EMR. We will make this process as quick and seamless as possible.
