Joint pain can make everyday activities much more difficult than they need to be. The winter months can be the worst, with the cold weather, joint pain can be hard to handle.

Glucosamine:

This supplement has two types, hydrochloride and sulfate. Glucosamine is used to keep the cartilage between the joints healthy. Since glucosamine is already in the body naturally, one should consider taking this supplement at an old age as glucosamine levels drop with age.

Omega-3 Oils:

There are two types of Omega-3 fatty acids as well, DHA and EPA, that can help reduce joint inflammation and swelling. This supplement can be extremely useful for symptoms of arthritis.

Chondroitin:

Again, this substance is found naturally in the body. With increase of age it is important to be sure you have enough or you could experience joint pain. Chondroitin can reduce pain and increase mobility.

If you’re experiencing joint pain, it may be helpful to discuss these supplements with your doctor. Find out if you should be taking these and how much they suggest.
